Sai Tarun Alwala is from Houston, Texas, where he served as president of his school’s Robotics and Science Olympiad clubs. His passion for engineering and sharing knowledge with others inspired him to volunteer at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where he taught physics and technology through interactive exhibits. He also served on the student leadership board of his district’s Engineering Academy program, working to expand access to engineering opportunities in his school. His experiences in robotics ultimately led him to pursue electrical engineering, with a particular interest in autonomous robotics systems. He aims to create innovative solutions to make a positive impact on society.

Alvaro Saldarriaga Arcila was born and raised in Colombia and moved to Duluth, Georgia, in high school. He served as president of his school's Science Fair Club, a member of the Board of Directors for HealthMPowers, and founder of the English as a Second Language tutoring program. Through these experiences, he discovered his passion for STEM and community service. Alvaro's interest in solving real-world problems using optimization, economic, financial, and leadership skills led him to major in industrial engineering.

Daniel Cao is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. Growing up working on cars, he developed a passion for problem-solving and innovation. In high school, he combined his curiosity with leadership and service, mentoring younger students and supporting underrepresented communities through organizations such as the Central Gwinnett Leadership Team, Peer Leadership, and Asian American Student Association. These experiences inspired him to pursue mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech, where he hopes to combine innovation and mentorship to expand access to STEM opportunities and empower the next generation of engineers.

Ava Duncan is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. Ava has always led with a big heart and a passion for helping her community. She volunteered with the iCan Bike association where she taught children with autism spectrum disorder how to ride bikes. Through this organization, Ava began to focus her work on marginalized communities. This stretched from volunteer work to local protests support Black Lives Matter, Hispanic communities, women's rights, and LGBTQ communities. Beyond her volunteer work, Ava also developed enthusiasm for STEM through her school’s National Science Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and the Girls’ Who Code Program. Ava is studying aerospace engineering with the intent of double majoring in public policy.

Unkarabile Nare is a biomedical engineering student from Carrollton, Virginia, where she served as vice president of IGNITE and captain of her club volleyball team. She attended the Governor’s School for Science and Technology, where she deepened her passion for STEM and shared that enthusiasm with underclassmen. Throughout high school, she dedicated herself to mentoring younger students, encouraging them to excel both inside and outside the classroom. With a longstanding interest in neuroscience and its intersection with cancer, she is eager to contribute to meaningful advancements in medicine. Unkarabile is committed to making a positive impact on the world, particularly within the medical community.

Jordan Scott Nwobodo is from Manassas, Virginia. From childhood, Jordan has always loved space and been eager to talk about it with any and everyone. As he learned more about engineering its role in exploring space, Jordan became deeply interested in aerospace engineering and dreams of launching a rocket with his name on the side. He has participated in numerous NASA programs and STEM clubs as he works toward that dream.

Logan Valdez was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. In high school, he served as both president and vice president of Student Council, co-founded his school’s Academic Team, and was an executive board member of the National Honor Society. He was also a member of the Spanish Honor Society, a volleyball player, and has played clarinet for over seven years, performing in concert band and cultivating a lasting love for music. Logan and his twin brother graduated first and second in their class, a reflection of their shared dedication and drive. He is majoring in mechanical engineering with hopes to combine engineering and business skills to create opportunities that give back to his community, support those less fortunate, and honor those who have always been there for him. Above all, Logan hopes to make a meaningful difference in this world.

Lawrence Valdez is from Aiken, South Carolina, where he has spent his life striving to make a positive impact on his community and those around him. He and his twin brother graduated first and second in their class while balancing leadership and service across a variety of activities, including co-founding the Academic Team, serving as an executive board member of the National Honor Society, participating in National Spanish Honor Society, playing volleyball, and working on the yearbook. Lawrence also served as president, vice president, and treasurer of Student Council. Known for being both a supportive presence and a strong leader, he developed a passion for STEM and business, fueled by curiosity about how the world works and a genuine desire to help others. He is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering with the goal of creating tangible, meaningful innovations that improve lives while remaining rooted in empathy and service.

Nia Yussuf

Nia Yussuf from Snellville, Georgia, is dedicated to community service and leadership. She helped organize a custodian luncheon through the National Honor Society; led the African Caribbean Student Association, where she highlighted her Oromo culture and organized International Night to connect students; taught English to refugees with the International Rescue Committee, and worked with city leaders on the Snellville Youth Commission. She's currently involved with EmpowerEthEri to help first-generation students get into college. She also attended engineering camps from fifth through 12th grade while building her interest in mechanics by fixing appliances, cars, and tools. These experiences, paired with her love of math, inspired her to pursue mechanical engineering with the goal of creating solutions that improve lives and empower communities.
